The Amouage Cafe is available for a limited time only, and it is located at Alila Jabal Akhdar. Running until 17 November, your dining experience will be perched on the Jabal Deck terrace, which hangs off a 2,000-metre cliff in Oman’s Hajar Mountains.
Amouage Cafe’s inspiration comes from the latest fragrance masterpiece by Amouage, Guidance 46 Exceptional Extrait. This fragrance serves as the muse for a culinary journey that uses key ingredients such as rose, pear, hazelnut, saffron, and vanilla. Most of these ingredients are sourced from Alila Jabal Akhdar’s very own hydroponic garden. This garden, the first of its kind in any resort or hotel in Oman, produces organic heirloom tomatoes, strawberries, olives, and more —ensuring that every dish is as fresh as it is delicious.
Upon being seated at the Amouage Cafe, you’ll be presented with beautifully decorated menu cards, each adorned with artwork by Omani illustrator and artist, Ruqaiya Mazar. This adds a special touch of local art and culture to the experience, making it even more memorable.
As for the menu itself, it’s crafted by Chef Pankaj Walia. His four-course set features dishes such as the Alila Garden Surprise, Chocolate Opulence and much more. Every dish served pays homage to Omani flavours, combined with the delicate notes of Amouage’s Guidance 46 fragrance.
Apart from food, Amouage Cafe also offers a range of mocktails that feature the brand’s signature ingredients like rose and frankincense. Make sure to try the Jabal Bloom and Serene Sights, which offer a twist on local flavours.
