The pop-up takes place from 28 to 30 March.
FACT Dining Award Dubai winner Reif Othman is heading to Oman. The celebrated chef is opening a pop-up at Six Senses Zighy Bay in Dibba. The pop-up will run from 28 to 30 March and will take place in the spectacular mountainside spot Sense on The Edge.
At Sense on The Edge, guests will be 293 meters above the sea, and can overlook the landscape. Reif is the mastermind behind two menus, which include kaiseki-style small bites and desserts based on the theme, All About Chocolate.
The dishes celebrate Eastern flavours, and pay homage to his Singaporean roots. The dishes range from Caviar Tart to Oven Baked Codfish with Wasabi Jalapeno Sauce. Plus, the ingredients are locally sourced, and vegetables have been used from the resort’s own Dibba farm and garden.
Six Senses Zighy Bay’s General Manager Diletta Guarino explained: “Chef Reif is a true icon, and it is an absolute honour to welcome him to the resort, creating such an out-of-the-ordinary experience for our guests. Together, we have crafted a captivating itinerary through tastes and flavours aimed at redefining the concept of food, and we’re eagerly anticipating this collaboration come to life.”
Reif’s flagship restaurant, Reif Japanese Kushiyaki, is located in Dar Wasl, Dubai. What sets Reif’s restaurant apart is its unconventional take on Japanese street food. As a Singaporean, cooking Japanese food rather than Malay cuisine, is not the norm. His innovative approach led him to winning a range of awards, from a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, to a place on the inaugural MENA 50 Best list. Plus, he was bestowed FACT’s first ever, Chef of the Year back in 2022.
Chef Reif’s pop-up at Sense on The Edge is open for bookings.
We’ll see you there.
