Located on Al Maha Island, it will stay in place for five months.

Zuma’s unique take on izakaya-style cuisine is headed to – you guessed it – Doha. With Qatar firmly in the spotlight as the FIFA World Cup approaches, the contemporary Japanese restaurant will launch a pop-up on Al Maha Island, and it’s expected to run from November 2022 until March 2023.

Not only will it feature Zuma’s signature sushi counter, robata grill, lounge and bar, but there will also be a stunning terrace and private dining room overlooking the sea. Guests will be able to enjoy the full selection of Zuma’s award-winning dishes (think: Spicy Beef Tenderloin with Sesame, Black Cod marinated in Miso, and Grilled Seabass with Chilli and Ginger) accompanied by an innovative range of drinks designed to complement the cuisine. Additionally, a live DJ will enhance the venue’s vibrant atmosphere throughout the season, providing an elegant yet lively experience.

Rainer Becker, Creator and Co-Founder of Zuma, said: “We are extremely excited to be launching our pop-up in Doha to showcase Zuma in Qatar in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup 2022. Al Maha Island will be a hub of activity during this time and the culinary scene will be unrivalled, and we are very proud to be a part of the euphoria. We look forward to welcoming Qatari residents and tourists from across the globe to experience Zuma and enjoy a dynamic dining experience throughout the winter season.”
