The e-visa makes it easier to explore the Kingdom's wonders.

Travel to Saudi Arabia has become easier, thanks to a new instant e-visa. Now, UK, US, Schengen visa holders, and permanent residents in the UK, US and EU countries can obtain tourist e-visas through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Over the years, Saudi Arabia has been improving its visa options. The country also provides visas on arrival to holders of valid US, UK, and Schengen visas as well as permanent residents of UK, US and EU countries. Plus, this year, e-visa eligibility was extended to GCC residents.

The Kingdom recently announced that travellers could get a 96-hour Stopover Visa along with their flight tickets. The visa includes one night’s complimentary stay in a hotel, and is open to a wide range of countries. Travellers are also able to visit cultural or historical sights, entertainment or sports events, and even perform Haj and Umrah.

In 2022, Saudi Tourism Authority launched the Nusuk platform. The official digital platform provides pilgrims with a tool to plan their journey to Makkah and Madinah.

High Highness Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud’s Saudi Vision 2030 aims to increase tourism in the country. Since issuing tourist visas in 2019, Saudi Arabia has transformed its tourism offerings in the country. In 2022, it welcomed 93.5 million visitors. By 2030, the Kingdom hopes to have reached 100 million annual visitors.
