Nineties kids, unite – this is going to be larger than life.

Backstreet’s back. One of the biggest-selling boybands of all time is returning to the Kingdom. The American pop group Backstreet Boys will perform at Riyadh Golf Club on Friday, 7 February, as part of the LIV Golf Riyadh championship. Here’s what to expect from the fabulous fivesome.

Nineties kids will be buzzing with excitement, as this is your chance to see Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson. The group formed in Orlando, Florida in the early nineties. Following the release of their first album, Backstreet Boys, in 1996, they went on to top the charts and capture the hearts of the BSM Army.

At their upcoming show in Riyadh, we expect the group to perform a medley of their greatest hits, including As Long As You Love Me, Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), Quit Playing Games (With My Heart), and We’ve Got It Goin’ On. Plus, the classic I Want It That Way has been streamed more than one billion times on Spotify.

Over the group’s career, they have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, received nine Grammy Award nominations, and won Billboard Music Awards, Juno Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.

Backstreet Boys are no strangers to the Middle East. In October 2024, they brought their DNA World Tour to Abu Dhabi and performed at the F1 Concert Zone in Jeddah in May 2023. The band also visited Dubai Media City Amphitheatre in 2018 as part of the Blended Music Festival.

Other notable performers at LIV Golf Riyadh include Cheb Khaled and DJ Snake on Thursday, 6 February, followed by Salvatore Ganacci on Friday, 7 February 2025.

LIV Golf runs from 6 to 8 February and takes place at Riyadh Golf Club, where you can watch the top golfers compete for the top prize. The event includes 13 teams made up of the world’s best golfers. PlusBryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm make their debut in Riyadh.
