Riyadh Season has been creating extraordinary experiences in the heart of the capital. Now, it is snowing in Saudi Arabia, thanks to Courchevel in Riyadh. Running from 18 December to 28 February, it offers a spectacular skiing experience.
Courchevel in Riyadh draws inspiration from the French Alps and its chic ski resorts. Located in Boulevard World, it aims to replicate the snowy sights. Look out for the (fake) snow falling from the ceiling, backdrops of painted mountains and models of ski lifts.
The festive touches include trees, snowmen and more. The venue includes plenty of picture-worthy moments – a fire in an igloo, anyone? Guests can dress up in ski outfits and will be kitted out with all of the gear. Plus, there are statues of winter animals, from polar bears to reindeer.
Riyadh Season 2024 started in October, and is currently underway in the capital. With multiple entertainment, cultural, and sporting events — not to forget all new experiences and attractions — it has become a must-visit festival in the region. This year’s edition features several new attractions, including BLVD Runway, which is an aviation-inspired experience that brings together entertainment and fun on board three specially designed planes. Spanning 25,000 square metres, the Harry Potter Experience at Riyadh Season is a must-visit marvel. The experience draws inspiration from JK Rowling’s best-selling books and the film franchise.
Riyadh Season launched in 2019 and is the largest festival of its kind in the Middle East. Now in its fifth edition, Riyadh Season takes over the whole city and 60 per cent includes new experiences. The festival has welcomed A-listers, from celebrity chefs to singing sensations. year’s edition was opened by the American rappers Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott. Upcoming events include a boxing match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on 21 December
