Saudi Arabia is filled with exciting experiences, from AlUla to the Red Sea. The latest project is BLVD Runway, which forms part of Riyadh Season 2024. The project showcases a plane-inspired experience and brings together entertainment on board three specially designed planes. The highly anticipated attraction is now open, and here’s what to expect.
Turki Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority, announced that the construction had commenced in August 2024 for tje new attraction which has been developed with Saudi Arabian Airlines, Saudia.
The BLVD Runway zone will pay homage to Saudi Arabia as an international destination. Not only will there be restaurants from around the world, but also three stationary planes with entertainment on board. So far, we know that the experiences include a horror-themed show.
Riyadh Season 2024 started on 12 October, and is currently underway in the capital. With multiple entertainment, cultural, and sporting events — not to forget all new experiences and attractions — it has become a festival that the Kingdom looks forward to.
Riyadh Season launched in 2019 and is the largest festival of its kind in the Middle East. Now in its fifth edition, Riyadh Season takes over the whole city and 60 per cent includes new experiences. The festival has welcomed A-listers, from celebrity chefs to singing sensations. The festival brings together arts, culture, music and sports, and takes place across the city and with different zones offering different experiences. This year’s edition was opened by the American rappers Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott. Upcoming events include Warner Bros’ Harry Potter experience and a boxing match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on 21 December.
