Fly Premium Economy and Business Class with Emirates.
In a bold stride towards redefining luxury travel, Emirates has unveiled the first of its fully retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft, setting new benchmarks for comfort, innovation, and style. From the meticulously designed interiors to the debut of a game-changing Premium Economy cabin, the refreshed fleet signals an era of elevated experiences for discerning travellers.
A first for the GCC
Riyadh is the first GCC destination to welcome the upgraded Emirates Boeing 777. The daily EK 819/820 service connects Dubai to Saudi Arabia’s bustling capital, departing at 7:10am and arriving by 8:05am. The return journey is just as seamless, taking off at 9:40am and landing in Dubai at 12:35pm.
Business Class
Stepping into Business Class on the retrofitted Boeing 777 is like entering a private sanctuary. The new 1-2-1 layout ensures every traveller has direct aisle access. This overhaul removes the centre triple seats in favour of a configuration prioritising privacy and comfort. The cabin’s elegant design, featuring muted tones and wood finishes, creates a sophisticated atmosphere.
Each champagne-coloured leather seat mirrors the sophistication of Emirates’ A380 cabins, complete with detailed stitching and cushioned headrests. The spacious seats transform into fully flat beds, allowing you to maximise comfort even on a short flight. Each seat is equipped with privacy panels, ample storage, and thoughtful amenities. The intuitive touchscreen controls, large high-definition entertainment screens and noise-cancelling headphones ensure an immersive, tailored journey.
Emirates’ renowned hospitality shines through during the dining service, from which you can order whatever you want, whenever you want! The meals, served on fine China and crisp white tablecloths, are paired with an excellent selection of soft beverages, creating a restaurant-like experience at 35,000 feet, elevated further by the attentive service of Emirates’ world-class crew.
Beyond aesthetics, functionality takes centre stage: passengers can enjoy personal mini-bars, multiple charging ports, and generous storage. The attention to detail extends to inflight connectivity, offering Wi-Fi and personal power outlets to stay productive or entertained.
Premium Economy
Flying Premium Economy on the refurbished Emirates Boeing 777 between Dubai and Riyadh offers a luxurious experience that sets a new standard for regional travel. The upgraded cabin exudes sophistication from the moment you board, featuring a calming cream and walnut wood-tone colour palette and tasteful ambient lighting that takes on the appearance of stars scattered across the night sky. It’s a beautifully curated environment that feels a world away from traditional Economy.
The new mid-tier option doesn’t hold back on comfort. The 24 Premium Economy seats are arranged in a spacious 2-4-2 layout, enveloped in soft cream leather with six-way adjustable headrests. Designed for comfort and space, these seats offer up to 40 inches of pitch, generous recline, leg rests, and ample legroom, ensuring exceptional comfort for the short journey.
Emirates’ signature inflight service is a highlight in Premium Economy. Passengers are welcomed with a refreshing drink and premium dining options inspired by regional and international cuisines, served on elegant tableware.
The ICE entertainment system impresses with its high-resolution screens and extensive selection of movies, television shows, and music – including the popular Chef JKP podcast, which featured FACT’s Editor-in-Chief. Bridging the gap between traditional Economy and Business Class, this new tier offers many of the services of business at a fraction of the cost.
Ride in style
Emirates extends its premium ethos beyond the skies with the introduction of Chauffeur-Drive Services (CDS) in Riyadh. First and Business Class passengers can now enjoy door-to-door service within a 100-kilometre radius of King Khalid International Airport, seamlessly connecting ground and air travel. Available on all three daily flights to and from Riyadh, this exclusive service underscores Emirates’ commitment to delivering end-to-end luxury experiences.
The Verdict
For a regional flight, a seat in the Premium Economy or Business Class cabins on the retrofitted Emirates Boeing 777 offers an elevated experience that redefines short-haul luxury. The real charm, however, lies in the details – from the seamless ground services to the exceptional inflight staff who go above and beyond to make every journey unforgettable.
