Located on Al Mugheirah Beach in Al Dhafra, Lammah Al Bahr is a brand-new family entertainment and heritage festival that runs until June. This event promises a mix of culture, adventure, and fun.
Lammah Al Bahr translates to “gathering by the sea, “meaning you can expect a lively waterfront celebration. The festival pays homage to Emirati heritage, its community spirit, and the rich maritime traditions of the region while catering to all ages.
Emirati culture will be at the front and centre of the festival. The Heritage Zone will give you a chance to explore Al Dhafra’s maritime history with live demos, storytelling, and workshops. Learn all about pearl diving, dhow sailing, and fishing traditions here. You can also buy handcrafted souvenirs, artisanal goods, and heritage-inspired products at Lammah Al Bahr.
Adrenaline junkies will enjoy the array of activities such as an aqua park, zip-lining, and sports tournaments such as padel tennis, beach volleyball and football to keep the excitement going. All this will take place at Lammah Al Bahr’s Champion Zone.
Art lovers are also in for a treat with the Art Haus gallery, which will showcase works by talented local artists, as well as art installations and exhibitions.
Al Manara Stage will also feature a lineup of live performances, blending traditional Emirati shows with contemporary acts. Families and little ones will enjoy a plethora of games, rides, and a dedicated children’s play area at Lammah Al Bahr. Expect board games, adventure nets, doughnut slides, climbing towers, and giant inflatables to keep the young ones busy while parents can enjoy the Beach Club. Elsewhere, the Food Park will serve up a variety of delicious flavours, from local Emirati dishes to international bites.
Entry to Lammah Al Bahr is free, but some activities require a fee. With a glimpse of history and plenty of exciting activities in store, this festival is not to be missed.
