Desert adventurers, pack your bags and buckle up for a road trip. Liwa Village is making a banging return, promising an immersive experience that blends Emirati traditions with modern flair.Â
Taking place from 13 December, 2024 to 4, January 2025, the Liwa Village festival promises weeks of non-stop excitement. This event is divided into seven zones and offers a unique experience for culture vultures and families. It’s also the first time it’s expected to run into 2025 which means expect New Year celebrations at Liwa Village.
First up is the Souk, your go-to traditional Emirati marketplace. Here, you’ll get rooftop views that are like a scene straight out of a movie as Kabab Zaman Awal and Harees Al Fareej serve up culinary wonders. Erth has got a lineup of foodie delights with a special touch of Emirati meals and Arabic-inspired patisserie.
At the Oasis, the desert’s charm mixes with modern elegance. Prepare for a feast because BB Social Dining, Mattar Third Culture Barbecue, Slaw, Seekh, and The Uncommon bring their A-game with mouthwatering bites. And if you’ve got a soft spot for luxury fashion and beauty, Elevnish and Odela & Co and Feathers will take you on a journey into the heart of Emirati traditions.
The Valley is a sustainable sanctuary where Salt sprinkles culinary magic and tempts your taste buds with the juiciest burgers and ice creams in the emirates.
Next up is the Carnival, the Disneyland of Liwa Village. This place is like an amusement park. Get ready for some serious fun with games like Pyramid Smash, Rebound, Blockbuster, Lobster Pot, Spin a Wheel, and Hook a Bag. With a 5D Cinema, Playneo, and two electrifying Racing Simulators, it’s a thrill-seeker’s paradise.
The Pavilion is like a cauldron of creativity and innovation, brewing up the latest trends in technology and entertainment. If you’re a gaming buff, hold onto your controllers because the Digital Station by PUBG is your ultimate digital playground.
Throughout the festival, the Main Stage will be a hotspot of talent, showcasing the unique Arabic stylings of local artists. The lineup of artists hasn’t been unveiled yet but it promises to be one for the books.
Tickets are currently not live but owing to past editions, they’re expected to start at AED 15. So mark your calendars for December and embark on a journey to Liwa Village. See you in the dunes.
