Ape Restaurant & Cafe offers a fusion of Pan-Asian and Italian flavours.
The dining scene in the Middle East is hotter than ever, and with cooler temperatures on the way, the region is buzzing with excitement. Among the multitude of new dining experiences, there’s one that’s causing quite a stir at the FACT offices. Ape Restaurant and Cafe has opened its doors in Dubai.
Nestled in the heart of Jumeirah, the restaurant brings the exotic allure of Pan Asian cuisine and combines it with distinct Italian ingredients and techniques. With a menu that promises to tantalise your taste buds with an explosion of textures, dining at Ape is an adventure. Standout dishes span the delicate, the daring, and the downright decadent. Begin with the Wagyu Gyoza, elevated with truffle brown butter ponzu, or the Sweet Chilli Grilled Scallops from Hokkaido, touched with foie gras miso and katsuboshi butter.

The Spicy Bluefin Tuna Tartare, finished with caviar and seaweed wafers, is a must, while the Crispy Yuzu Chicken Tebasaki brings punchy depth with ginger-chilli miso. Sushi lovers will revel in the Omakase Sashimi Platter, or opt for the luxurious Ape Gyozan Platter, where Wagyu, Toro Aburi, and Lobster Tempura Rolls shine.
From the robata grill, the Miso Black Cod and Wagyu Sirloin with morel mushroom teriyaki are masterclasses in umami, while the Lobster Spaghetti with San Manzano tomatoes brings Italian flair to the fire. Round it off with the Matcha Tiramisu or the whimsically named Tokyo Banana.
The interiors of Ape exude modern glam with a tropical twist. Picture grand chandeliers adorned with — you guessed it — apes. The marble floor complements the shiny ceiling, while seating arrangements feature a palette of pinks, browns, and beige, offering a striking contrast to the rest of the venue.
But that’s not all – Ape also offers a unique lounge and cafe experience, where you can unwind amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s a luxurious jungle where you can also enjoy live performances by artists from around the world.
As if that weren’t enough, the outdoor smoking garden boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and is adorned with flowers and tall palm trees, staying true to the tropical vibe.
Following its launch in Dubai’s Jumeirah 3, Ape will soon be setting its sights on Riyadh and Doha, with openings expected in the two GCC capitals by the end of 2025.
